Adroit Theory Brewing Co - Death Ronin

The lone warrior returns, and this time he's armed with a devastating arsenal of hops! Death Ronin is a formidable 8.5% Double IPA from Virginia's acclaimed Adroit Theory Brewing Company, delivering a gloriously old-school celebration of everything that makes West Coast IPAs so irresistible. Bold, bitter and unapologetically hop-forward, this imposing creation favours crisp drinkability, assertive pine resin and vibrant citrus over the soft, sweet haze of modern New England IPAs. A magnificent choice for those who appreciate their hops with a little more bite!

Pouring a bright, inviting golden colour, Death Ronin promises an aromatic assault of freshly squeezed grapefruit, fragrant pine needles and wonderfully dank hop character. Expect vibrant citrus zest to mingle with earthy, resinous undertones, creating the distinctive combination of freshness and intensity that defines a great West Coast IPA. On the palate, bold grapefruit flavours lead the charge, supported by layers of pine resin, subtle herbal complexity and a clean malt backbone that allows the hops to take centre stage.

Powerful, crisp and satisfyingly bitter, Death Ronin delivers a beautifully assertive drinking experience that remains remarkably refreshing despite its substantial 8.5% strength. Its pronounced 55 IBU bitterness provides a welcome contrast to the vibrant citrus flavours, while the dry, resinous finish leaves lingering impressions of grapefruit peel, fragrant pine and classic American hop character. A superb showcase of Adroit Theory's ability to master traditional West Coast brewing alongside its celebrated hazy creations. The warrior may stand alone, but this is one seriously formidable IPA!
