Adroit Theory Brewing Co - AK: Hollow Victory

The assassin returns, and this time victory comes at a devastating cost! AK: Hollow Victory is a formidable 10% Triple IPA from Virginia's boundary-pushing Adroit Theory Brewing Company, marking the fifth instalment in the brewery's extraordinary time-travelling assassin series. Continuing the story of maximum death and destruction, this magnificent creation combines a wonderfully pillowy, semi-sweet body with an explosive combination of tropical fruit-forward hops. Double dry-hopped with Citra, Galaxy and Zappa, Hollow Victory delivers enormous flavour, luxurious texture and all the uncompromising intensity that has made Adroit Theory a cult favourite among serious hop enthusiasts.

Pouring a beautifully hazy golden colour, Hollow Victory unleashes an intoxicating aroma of ripe mango, juicy passion fruit and vibrant tropical citrus. Citra provides a deliciously bright foundation of freshly squeezed citrus and luscious tropical fruit, while Galaxy introduces enormous waves of ripe passion fruit, juicy peach and fragrant tropical sweetness. Zappa adds an intriguing twist, contributing subtle herbal spice and delicate earthy complexity that distinguish this exceptional beer from more conventional hazy IPAs. On the palate, expect an explosion of juicy mango and passion fruit, accompanied by a wonderfully smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel and a gentle suggestion of resinous pine.

Rich, intensely aromatic and remarkably smooth for its formidable 10% strength, Hollow Victory delivers a beautifully balanced combination of tropical fruit sweetness and refreshing hop character. Despite its enormous dry-hop additions, perceived bitterness remains wonderfully restrained, allowing the beer's luscious fruit flavours and luxurious body to take centre stage. The finish is soft and satisfyingly juicy, with lingering mango, fragrant citrus and a delicate spicy flourish. Another spectacular creation from Adroit Theory, proving that even a hollow victory can taste absolutely magnificent!
