A gloriously decadent collaboration between Dundee's acclaimed Holy Goat Brewing and the legendary Emperor's Brewery, Ludicrous Speed is a formidable 12% Imperial Stout inspired by one of Scotland's most beloved traditional treats – the Dundee cake.

Taking inspiration from this wonderfully rich, fruit-laden Scottish classic, Ludicrous Speed combines an intensely complex selection of dark roasted malts with demerara and muscovado sugars, creating a luxurious foundation of dark chocolate, treacle, caramel and freshly roasted coffee.

Generous additions of currants, sultanas and raisins bring luscious layers of sticky dried fruit, while a delicate touch of orange and lemon zest introduces a refreshing citrus lift. Following fermentation, the beer is conditioned on almonds, contributing a wonderfully rounded nuttiness and subtle marzipan character that perfectly captures the essence of traditional Dundee cake.
