Subtlety is key on this beer - it’s a pale ale that isn’t outrageous in its execution, but cascades along the palate to assure you that this is Polly’s doing what we do best; hop forward, hazy, and delicious. It all comes from the selection of hops we’ve utilised on this beer. Motueka has quickly become a house favourite amongst the team and for good reason - it acts as a great base hop for any beer, imparting distinctive fresh muddled lime notes, with lively lemon and slight basil notes, before an addition of a relative newcomer to our brewing experience in Audacia. With parentage descended from Strata, you’d think this “sassy noble” as described by its grower Indie Hops would be as in your face as its lineage would suggest, but influence from cross breeding with a noble hop in Hersbrucker brings more refined and interesting flavour notes, such as Blackcurrant, Lychee, and Lingonberry. All put together, this is an outrageously smooth and easydrinking pale ale that favours refined subtlety.
