Vocation Brewery - Winter Sun

Who says winter has to be all dark evenings, freezing temperatures and enormous Imperial Stouts? Vocation Brewery's Winter Sun is here to bring a little Mediterranean sunshine to the colder months! This wonderfully refreshing 6.5% Limoncello IPA takes inspiration from Italy's famous citrus liqueur, combining vibrant lemon and lime flavours with the beautifully balanced character of a modern British IPA. Bright, zesty and gloriously refreshing, Winter Sun offers a delicious alternative to traditional winter warmers, delivering all the sunshine of the Amalfi Coast without the inconvenience of actually having to leave Yorkshire!

Pouring a beautiful, lightly hazy golden colour, Winter Sun delivers an enticing aromatic combination of freshly squeezed lemons, fragrant lime zest and lively citrus. Inspired by the unmistakable character of limoncello, its flavour profile celebrates the refreshing intensity of citrus fruit, with bright lemon taking centre stage and tangy lime adding a wonderfully invigorating twist. On the palate, expect vibrant waves of juicy citrus, delicate sweetness and refreshing zest, beautifully complemented by a smooth, rounded malt backbone. The interplay between citrus intensity and gentle malt richness creates a wonderfully balanced drinking experience, with enough body to support its substantial strength without compromising its refreshing character.

Bright, smooth and wonderfully drinkable, Winter Sun delivers a deliciously different interpretation of the modern IPA. At 6.5% ABV, it offers a satisfying combination of generous flavour and refreshing citrus character, with a gently balancing bitterness preventing the beer from becoming overly sweet. The finish is lively and invigorating, leaving lingering impressions of lemon zest, fresh lime and delicate malt sweetness. Whether you're dreaming of warmer weather, celebrating Christmas with something a little different or simply looking for a refreshing change from traditional winter beers, Winter Sun is a welcome burst of sunshine in a glass. Who needs a Mediterranean holiday when you've got Yorkshire's finest bringing the sunshine to you?
