Tartarus Beers - Saint Nick
Beer Description
Christmas has come early, and Tartarus Beers has delivered a wonderfully festive treat! Saint Nick is a rich, warming Christmas Stout created in collaboration with State of Kind Brew Co., inspired by the deliciously indulgent flavours of traditional German Stollen. Combining festive spices, juicy sultanas and deeply roasted malts, this beautifully comforting creation captures the magic of Christmas in a glass.
Brewed with a substantial three-hour boil to develop its rich malt character, Saint Nick brings together the warming flavours of a traditional Christmas fruit cake with the satisfying depth of a classic stout. The addition of festive spices and sultanas creates a wonderfully nostalgic drinking experience, reminiscent of cosy winter evenings, freshly baked Christmas treats and the unmistakable aromas of the festive season.
Pouring a deep, almost black colour, Saint Nick offers enticing aromas of dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, sweet dried fruit and warming baking spices. On the palate, expect layers of rich cocoa and roasted malt, complemented by the fruity sweetness of sultanas and gentle hints of clove and festive spice. The combination delivers a satisfying balance of chocolate richness, warming spice and traditional Christmas cake flavours.
Smooth, comforting and full of festive character, Saint Nick finishes with lingering roasted chocolate, sweet dried fruit and a delicate warming spice. At 6% ABV, it offers plenty of indulgence without the enormous strength of a typical Imperial Stout. A superb Christmas beer to enjoy beside the fire, alongside a festive dessert or simply while embracing the season's inevitable excesses!
