Elegant and gleaming in deep brown hues, it fills the glass. The first sip delights with a harmonious blend of select dark wheat and barley malts and premium Hallertau aroma hops. Notes of caramel, hints of nuts, and fresh bread can be discerned. The traditional ERDINGER yeast unmistakably adds its top-fermenting character. ERDINGER Dunkel made its debut in 1989 when ERDINGER's master brewers brewed a dark wheat beer for Werner Brombach, owner of the private brewery, as a birthday present. He enjoyed it so much that he launched it on the market in 1990.
