Adroit Theory Brewing Co - The Death of Civillization In Slow Motion II

The apocalypse continues, and Adroit Theory is bringing an extraordinary arsenal of hops along for the ride! The Death of Civilization in Slow Motion II is the second instalment in the Virginia brewery's ambitious five-part series inspired by the post-apocalyptic world of Mad Max: Fury Road. This release takes inspiration from Morsov, one of the War Boys who sacrifices himself defending the War Rig, and delivers a suitably explosive combination of tropical fruit flavours, luxurious softness and innovative American hop character. Double dry-hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Zappa, this gloriously hazy creation combines familiar favourites with one of the more unusual hops in modern craft brewing.

Pouring a beautifully hazy golden colour, The Death of Civilization in Slow Motion II promises an intoxicating aromatic explosion of ripe stone fruit, juicy melon and vibrant passion fruit. Mosaic and Citra provide the foundations of its wonderfully expressive fruit character, while Zappa, an unusual hop originating from wild American hop genetics, contributes intriguing herbal and subtly spicy undertones. Expect luscious flavours of ripe peach, tropical passion fruit and succulent melon, complemented by delicate citrus and a distinctive herbal complexity. The beer's beautifully soft, pillowy body provides a luxurious foundation for its generous hop additions, creating an intensely aromatic drinking experience.

Rich, juicy and wonderfully smooth, this formidable Double IPA delivers everything that makes modern New England brewing so irresistible. Despite its enormous hop character, bitterness remains remarkably restrained, allowing the vibrant tropical fruit flavours and gentle malt sweetness to take centre stage. A satisfyingly soft finish leaves lingering impressions of ripe stone fruit, fragrant passion fruit and delicate herbal spice, making this an excellent choice for lovers of adventurous, hop-saturated American IPAs. The end of civilisation might be approaching, but Adroit Theory is making sure there's something magnificent to drink while we wait!
