Sudden Death Brewing Co - The Sect

Welcome to The Sect, where the Lord of the Bines demands a sacrifice and the only acceptable offering is an outrageous quantity of hops! Straight from the wonderfully twisted minds at Germany's Sudden Death Brewing Co., this formidable 8% Hazy Double IPA is a gloriously excessive celebration of tropical fruit, intense hop saturation and unapologetically bold brewing.

Brewed with an extraordinary combination of El Dorado and Mosaic hop products, The Sect receives an intensive hot-side hopping regime before being generously dry-hopped with even more El Dorado and Mosaic, a touch of Rakau and a final flourish of Nelson Bliss. The result is a beautifully hazy, hop-saturated monster bursting with tropical intensity.

Expect an intoxicating aroma of ripe mango, juicy pineapple, sweet stone fruits and vibrant citrus. El Dorado contributes luscious tropical sweetness, while Mosaic introduces layers of ripe berries, mango and subtle resinous complexity. New Zealand Rakau adds delicate orchard fruit character, beautifully complemented by the distinctive aromatic qualities of Nelson Bliss.

On the palate, enormous waves of tropical fruit take centre stage, with juicy pineapple, ripe mango and sweet peach mingling with refreshing citrus zest. The generous hopping creates a wonderfully expressive flavour profile, while the combination of barley and oat malts provides a smooth, rounded foundation for the beer's considerable hop intensity.

Rich, juicy and unapologetically aromatic, The Sect delivers a lingering finish of tropical fruit and resinous hop character. A magnificent Double IPA for serious hop enthusiasts, and another deliciously sinister creation from one of Germany's most entertaining craft breweries.
