A wonderfully warming seasonal speciality from northern Germany's renowned Flensburger Brauerei, Winterbock is a rich, malt-forward lager crafted to bring a little comfort to those long, frosty winter evenings.
 
Pouring a beautiful orange-gold with a generous, creamy white head, this traditional German Bock delivers inviting aromas of freshly baked bread, sweet caramel and ripe pear, complemented by delicate hints of vanilla and marzipan.
 
The flavour is beautifully rounded, with carefully selected speciality malts providing layers of toasted biscuit, caramel and gentle honeyed sweetness. Subtle fruity notes mingle with warming alcohol and a restrained herbal hop character, creating a wonderfully balanced drinking experience. Despite its considerable strength, Winterbock remains remarkably smooth and approachable, with a creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation and a long, gently bitter finish.
 
Brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot using locally sourced coastal barley, this is a superb winter warmer and an excellent companion to hearty festive dishes, roasted meats and mature cheeses.
