An exceptionally indulgent creation from Belgium's legendary Brouwerij Huyghe, Delirium Black Barrel-Aged takes two of the brewery's most celebrated beers, Delirium Nocturnum and Delirium Christmas, and blends them before maturing the result for nine months in oak bourbon barrels previously used by Kentucky's renowned Buffalo Trace Distillery.
 
Pouring a beautiful deep amber with rich mahogany highlights, this formidable Belgian ale delivers an intoxicating bouquet of vanilla, warming bourbon, caramelised sugar and delicate festive spices, complemented by subtle notes of toasted oak and roasted almonds.
 
The flavour is gloriously complex, with luscious layers of buttery caramel, vanilla fudge, dark fruit and warming bourbon unfolding across the palate. Gentle hints of toasted almonds, oak and Belgian yeast spice provide additional depth, while a restrained hop bitterness balances the rich malt sweetness.
 
Full-bodied, smooth and luxuriously warming, Delirium Black finishes with lingering vanilla, bourbon-soaked oak and a gentle alcoholic warmth. A magnificent sipping beer for cold winter evenings and special occasions.
