VERDANT BREWING CO

MICRO BREWERY

PENRYN

RATING: 4.03
Discover the exceptional beers of Verdant Brewing Co., an acclaimed independent Cornish craft brewery renowned for its intensely juicy New England IPAs, beautifully balanced Pale Ales and extraordinarily aromatic Double IPAs. Founded in 2014 by Adam Robertson and James Heffron, Verdant began with experimental homebrewing before establishing a tiny brewery in a shipping container near Falmouth. Inspired by the revolutionary hop-forward beers emerging from America's East Coast, the founders set out to bring the same vibrant flavours, soft mouthfeel and expressive hop character to British craft brewing. Following remarkable growth and an enthusiastic international following, Verdant moved into its purpose-built brewery in Penryn in 2020. Combining carefully selected hops, innovative brewing techniques and an unwavering commitment to freshness, Verdant has become one of Britain's most influential modern craft breweries.
Best known for its outstanding hop-forward beers, Verdant produces some of Britain's most recognisable Hazy IPAs and Double IPAs. Lightbulb, the brewery's flagship Extra Pale Ale, combines Centennial and Simcoe hops to deliver refreshing citrus, gentle pine and a beautifully balanced, crisp finish. Headband showcases Citra, Mosaic, Chinook and Columbus, creating an expressive Pale Ale bursting with tropical fruit, juicy citrus and subtle resinous bitterness. Pulp takes the intensity further with its famously soft, full-bodied Double IPA character, delivering layers of ripe mango, grapefruit and tropical fruit. Meanwhile, Even Sharks Need Water combines Simcoe, Citra and Galaxy hops for a wonderfully aromatic New England IPA packed with juicy stone fruit and vibrant citrus flavours. Beyond these favourites, Verdant produces experimental Triple IPAs, crisp Lagers and adventurous limited-edition collaborations.
