MICRO BREWERY

TADCASTER

RATING: 3.70
Discover the exceptional beers of Samuel Smith's Brewery, one of Britain's most historic independent breweries, renowned for its traditional Yorkshire ales, rich Stouts and beautifully crafted organic beers. Located in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, the Old Brewery dates back to 1758, making it Yorkshire's oldest brewery. Operating under the Samuel Smith name since 1886, this remarkable family-owned institution continues to preserve centuries-old brewing traditions, including fermentation in traditional stone Yorkshire Squares and the use of water drawn from its original brewery well. Unlike many modern breweries, Samuel Smith's maintains its own cooperage, producing and repairing the oak casks used for its naturally conditioned ales. Combining historic craftsmanship with carefully selected natural ingredients, the brewery produces authentic British beers celebrated for their distinctive character and exceptional quality.
Best known for its outstanding traditional Stouts, Porters and English Ales, Samuel Smith's produces some of Britain's most recognisable classic beers. Oatmeal Stout is a wonderfully smooth, full-bodied dark beer offering roasted malt, chocolate and coffee flavours with a beautifully silky texture. Organic Chocolate Stout combines roasted chocolate malt with organic cocoa for a luxurious, velvety beer bursting with rich chocolate character. Taddy Porter delivers a classic English Porter experience, showcasing roasted barley, bittersweet chocolate and a satisfyingly dry finish. Meanwhile, Nut Brown Ale is a beautifully balanced traditional Brown Ale offering toasted malt, hazelnut, almond and gentle caramel notes. From refreshing organic Lagers to magnificent Imperial Stouts and traditional Yorkshire ales, explore our selection of Samuel Smith's beers at Left Field Beer and discover the timeless appeal of authentic British brewing.
