Sudden Death Brewing Co - Simcoe Overload

Sometimes one hop is all you need, particularly when that hop happens to be Simcoe! Straight from Germany's wonderfully unconventional Sudden Death Brewing Co., Simcoe Overload is a magnificent 7.2% Hazy IPA dedicated to the brewery's favourite hop variety. Almost entirely single-hopped with Simcoe, with just a cheeky addition of Columbus to reinforce its grapefruit bitterness, this beautifully expressive creation is a celebration of everything that makes American hops so irresistible.

Pouring a beautifully hazy golden colour, Simcoe Overload promises an enticing aroma of freshly squeezed grapefruit, ripe passion fruit, juicy apricots and fragrant pine. Simcoe's wonderfully versatile character takes centre stage, delivering a complex combination of vibrant citrus, luscious tropical fruit and distinctive resinous undertones.

On the palate, expect generous waves of juicy grapefruit and sweet stone fruit, accompanied by refreshing citrus zest and subtle hints of tropical mango. Simcoe brings its characteristic combination of fruity sweetness, earthy complexity and fragrant pine, while the carefully measured addition of Columbus introduces a firmer grapefruit bitterness that provides a satisfying counterpoint to the beer's juicy character.

Smooth, intensely aromatic and wonderfully hop-forward, Simcoe Overload delivers a lingering finish of zesty grapefruit, pine resin and refreshing bitterness. A superb showcase of one of America's most celebrated hop varieties, and a delicious reminder that sometimes the simplest hop combinations produce the most memorable beers.

A must-try for serious hop enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates the distinctive character of Simcoe in all its citrusy, resinous glory!
