A rich, warming Belgian winter ale, Winterbinkske is a beautifully complex seasonal beer from De Ranke, originally brewed by Brouwerij Kerkom. Pouring a deep mahogany brown with a creamy, tan-coloured head, it delivers inviting aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate, brown sugar and dried fruit, complemented by delicate notes of festive spice.
 
The flavour is wonderfully layered, with roasted malts bringing hints of dark chocolate, toasted bread, molasses and caramel, alongside subtle notes of prunes, cinnamon and juniper. Rolled oats contribute to its rounded, full-bodied mouthfeel, while traditional Belgian hops provide a firm, balancing bitterness. Despite its considerable strength, Winterbinkske remains surprisingly dry, finishing with lingering roasted malt, gentle spice and a satisfying alcoholic warmth.
