RATING: 3.91

Founded in 1988 by John Hall in Chicago, Illinois, Goose Island Beer Co is a pioneering American brewery celebrated for its innovative brewing techniques, exceptional beers and influential role in the modern craft beer movement. Combining traditional brewing craftsmanship with experimentation, Goose Island has become an internationally recognised name in American beer.

The brewery is particularly renowned for its legendary Bourbon County Brand Stout, first brewed in 1992, which helped establish bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts as a celebrated beer style. These luxurious creations deliver complex flavours of dark chocolate, vanilla, caramel, oak and warming bourbon. Beyond its famous barrel-aged releases, Goose Island produces hop-forward IPAs, refreshing wheat ales, Belgian-inspired farmhouse beers and seasonal specialities.
