Late at night on March 13th, a crisp Autumn evening at Eggers Hops in Upper Moutere New Zealand, their Olive Garden was a bustling hive of industry. During a total lunar eclipse, Eggers Hops undertook a world first in harvesting this special lot of hops under a red coloured moon, commonly known as a Blood Moon. The hops were harvested over midnight into the early morning hours and processed, from field to foil, on March 14th We think the result is a blinding new beer - thick bittersweet and dank from all those full moon hops.
