The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smoked beer, brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish brown lentbeer a natural cloudiness. Its smokey aroma is noticeable and combines with a fine hoppy note. This full bodied, highly drinkable lentbeer has a strong malty flavour, smokey taste and a light bitterness.

This one-off batch of imperial-strength Rex Attitude is a self-indulgent celebration of being awarded the Morton Coutts Trophy for Innovation at BrewNZ 2011. Dedicated to all the peat freaks who have let us know how much they enjoy Rex: your love helps us through the hate - thank you.
