Dangerously Close To Stupid Amount of Kiwi
To Øl’s Stupid Hop Adventure Series was put together to push the limits of what a beer can be and, courtesy of boatloads of hops, stupid amounts of fruit and other weird ingredients you wouldn’t normally find in a beer, they unanimously succeed in tantalising your taste buds and leave crawling back for more. As the name suggests, Dangerously Close to Stupid Amount of Kiwi has, you guessed it, loads of Kiwi involved. It’s a difficult fruit to do justice but To Øl have managed to bring it roaring to life. It smells lightly funky and sour, intermingling with the ever present pines, resins and citrus fruits. The taste is lightly sour too but it’s found dancing in tandem with a sweetness that would be too much in some beers. But, here, the sublime, sweet and sour are joined on the dance floor by lots of mango, pine, resin and some floral overtones as well. Power of Kiwi! Stupid Hop Adventure Team, Assemble!
