We brew the Weizenbock 2902 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the death of King Ludwig I of Bavaria (1786-1868), the founder of our Abbey of Saint Boniface in Munich and Andechs. The number "2902" refers to the last day of February on which King Ludwig I died.
