Got a good walk in this morning for an hour or two down to the park to get some fresh air and take some more beer pics of course. Nice Mexican soup for lunch and we felt like a film, so we went for Uncut Gems. I'd recommend you give it a go, bit like a modern gritty gangsta flick, if that floats your boat?!
Can has a classic profile outline of a younger Barbara Streisand with lovely pink and other vibrant colours splashed on the can.
First smell is just a powerful rhubarb one right under the nose. Following swig is more of the same with pure rhubarb flavour on some of that creamy custard mouthfeel. Additional lactose richness I there with this 'Extra Custard Edition' but not sure it adds too much to it. I wouldn't mind a bit more sourness to it and there's an ever so slight synthetic touch to the taste, but a nice enough beer nonetheless.
Let's go for Abbie Ozard 'Endless Summer' for this one. It's got the bouncy high buzz to compare with that rhubarb hit, but also the lyrical indecision and hopefullness in the song, as the drink doesn't quite grasp the heights that it was reaching...
